Religion

Many men have claimed that they are part of the "true religion" yet each man is apart of a different one. A religion is only as strong as it's weakest member. How can a religion be true if it cannot bring about harmony between humanity and the divine. To be of God the religion should be perfect and if it is not how can it seek to worship him. Men are not perfect , and so there cannot be a "true religion" there can only be true believers. For one group to say it is better than the next is simply arrogant as they both have one factor in common. They all share weak willed members, and for anyone of them to say they do not is foolish. Religion thrives on the hopeless and the needy. Men need acknowledgement for good deeds and what better way to be rewarded for good deeds than eternal life in heaven. At the end of the day it's all about how many followers you have and it is nothing more than an outdated, medieval twitter!
Not all religions however consist of solely selfish, needy, arrogant members. I think all religions start with pure and honest good intentions. Along the way though I feel as if religions just end up dividing people. No longer can we be friends for alas - we are not both Roman Catholic! I do not seek to destroy the bible or what it stands for. I believe the ties on the other hand between religious movements and God have long since died. I have grown weary of the struggles of man to prove that his beliefs are correct.
Religious groups are by no means all horrible places. Some are excellent sources of knowledge and friendship. I do believe however that no one religion is right nor that one can claim superiority over the other. Great men have sprung out of religions and have been morally pure but it is not their religion that should be the focus but their actions. Religious beliefs should not take a mans actions as there own. One may be the hand of God but at some point people just become tools for a religions gain.

Belief is for the taking. Great men are great men and what they believe is irrelevant.
